Civivi Ki-V Mini Box Opener Knife Review: The Compact and Versatile Tool for Any Situation

So we have been on the hunt for a small knife that is lightweight and can work great for our everyday use.

Todays review is on a miniature class of knives that can easily fit into the pocket and or clip carry.  The knife we chose was the the Civivi Ki-V Slip Joint Knife Created by Ostap Help partnered with Civivi.  The key features that we thought were desirable were it's ultra small platform and great aesthetics.

The Ki-V pictured above features a 1.5" Stone wash design with amazing angles on the blade.  It also features a Slip Joint which locks closed and open.  This works by a set of retention detents in both positions to help assist remaining in those positions.  By pressing and holding the back when open the blade felt sturdy in the hand and cuts with ease.

Notice the Triangular and bird like beak angles on the knife.  The stone was is absolutely stunning with its dark grays and black gradient.  The steel chosen by Civivi on this one is 9Cr18Mov with a excellent stonewash.  The clip can be carried tip up on the pocket and also features a nice gray powder coat similar to the color of the blade.  The bottles and clip both feature a matte gray color.  This went well with the Natural G10 or sometimes referred to Jade handle.  The light neutral colors was another key factor that caught our eye.  This works great for any small random cutting you may have and or box opening.  We use this daily opening packages in our ONE SHEAR® warehouse and receiving at our Arnold Prints Shop®.

End Note:

Highly Recommended.  This has served us well so far.  One improvement would be better steel of course and potentially a natural G-10 with Black cerakote blade would fit our aesthetic needs.
