Why Quartz?: Maratac's® GMT Watch features a hacking Swiss Rhonda quartz movement is accurate and robust. Quartz movements also allow you to take your watch off for weeks at a time. (but you won't want to) and then put it back on without having to change the time. The battery is expected to last 45 months.

This movement has a power-saving mechanism, which is good to know if you have a large collection and won’t be wearing the watch all the time. If you put the watch “in storage” with the stem pulled out, power consumption is reduced approximately 70%. So I guess the battery can last as much as 150 months “on standby.”
Accuracy of -10/+20 seconds per month, regardless of the movement being Swiss Made
