The One Shear BUS came in a simple plastic bag and looked -at first sight- no very different from my old trauma shears. But then I made the cutting test with some strong jute and hemp ropes I use for Shibari/Kinbaku. WOW!! They cut through rope with absolute ease and far more effective than my old ones. Comparing them with my old shears there are a few significant differences:
- The OS center bold is much stronger.
- The OS cutting edges are sharpened AFTER the coating, which adds precision and sharpness to the cut.
- The blades are sturdy, yet don't have excessive hight, which allows them to slip even under tight ropes in case of emergency.
I use the OS BUS as backup option in my Shibari/Kinbaku safety-kit. When I tie, I have an Eezycut Trilobite line cutter on my belt and the OS BUS (together with a small, but powerful flashlight) in my rope bag.
The only downside: Shipping costs to Germany are $35 for 2 shears + €22,29 import fees
Thanks for the amazing detailed review. Glad they worked out well for you and we look forward to our expansion to help with the shipping cost in the future. These are the best rolled steel trauma shears on the market hands down!
Got two of these, one for new trauma pack in vehicle, other for safety when doing Shibari ties, sometimes ropes bind up and you just got to cut loose.
Never can be too safe! From work, bedroom, and even kitchen spaces!
Super Sharp
Honestly not as good as i thought theyd be. Cuts well tho
